The explaining Box
2019.09 — object — interactive device — vulgarization

The explaining Box allows the physicist to illustrate simple concepts of quantum physics: emergence, transitions of water depending on the temperature (transition from a gaseous to a solid state) and the movement of electrons during the supraconductivity phenomenon.
After mounting the Box and placing the webcam in its notch, the physicist launches the 3 different Processing programs that illustrate these concepts. The program tracks the green pixels: thanks to a green felt pen that the user of the Box can trigger animations so that the particles can wiggle, or move from one formation to another.
